We grow a variety of vegetables including salad greens, tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, carrots, beets, squash and culinary herbs. The vegetables are available seasonally at the Charlottetown Farmer’s Market
We also have an orchard in which we grow apples, pears, grapes, kiwis, black currants and gooseberries. We recently planted peaches and hope to have enough to sell soon. The fruit is available for sale fresh and made into dried fruit treats.
We rotate the market garden after the pigs in order to make optimal use of fertility left behind. This cuts down dramatically in our carbon footprint as we do not spend days on end hauling manure onto the farm or from the barns.
